M 1916 "ShLS" Steel Helmet, 1917 issue. Used by both sides in the Russian Civil
War, it remained in service with the Red Army until WW2. Exceptionally rare even
compared with the similar Finnish M 17 "Sohlberg" model. In superb condition, with
the intact original paint, liner and chinstrap. An extraordinary find for the
serious collector.
M 1939 steel helmet (SSh-39), dated 1940. In excellent condition, complete
with original liner and chin strap. Beside the torn chin strap, a near perfect
example, among the best M-39 helmets we've seen. Size 3A / 62 (Extra
Large). This superb piece can be a centerpiece for the advanced collection of
Russian WW2 militaria.
M 1968 Steel Helmet, Size 2 (Large), daited 1978. The last Soviet model widely
used in Afghanistan. The adjustable liner is meant to fit a 60/61cm (US 7 1/2 - 7
5/8) or smaller head, but the shell is large enough to easily accommodate up to
size 64 (US 8). In excellent condition, shows storage age only.
