In excellent condition. The original lacquer in the letters is extremely well preserved, which is very uncommon for a medal of WW2 era: it has only a couple of tiny chips and is otherwise completely intact. The raised details of the artwork are perfect and extremely crisp. There are no significant dings or scratches, only a few tiny contact marks, mostly on the reverse. The eyelet is slightly bent backwards but remains sound and fully functional (we wouldn't try to straighten it due to the risk of accidentally breaking it.)
The medal comes on original suspension, a WW2 two-layer model in steel with self-locking pin. The ribbon is old but perfectly clean and sound.
The connecting link appears to be of the period; its ends are still joined with solder.
