Portrait of Lenin, oil on canvas, circa 1960s-80s. Massive. 5'x 3 ¾' size. Judging by its huge size, this portrait must have once decorated the entrance hall or grand banquet room in some important Soviet government building. In fair to good condition.

Bust of Mikhail Kalinin, by the Lomonosovskiy Porcelain Factory in Leningrad (LFZ), circa late 1940s. Very large size, approx. 13" tall likeness of one of the original Bolshivik leaders, a rare survivor of the Stalin's purges and the nominal head of state of the Soviet Union from 1919 to 1946. Original artwork was created by the acclaimed Soviet sculptor Matvei Manizer. An extremely uncommon, high quality piece in very good condition.

Celebration of the Constitution (Fundamental Law) of the USSR features Mikhail Kalinin, titular head of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1946. Large 25 1/4" x 39 1/2" poster dates to 1975.
Portrait of Georgiy Malenkov, black-and-white tapestry in silk, early 1950s-1955, made in People's Republic of China. A portrait of the Stalin's heir apparent and Soviet premier immediately after Stalin's death in 1953. Within two years, Malenkov was outfoxed and edged out by Nikita Khrushchev in the Kremlin power struggle; two years later, was sent into a virtual exile after an unsuccessful attempt to depose Khrushchev. Since Malenkov was the Soviet premier for just a short time and then not only lost all his posts, but was eventually expelled from the Communist Party, few of his period portraits have survived to our days. In excellent condition.
