Citation for taking part in the repelling of the German counteroffensive and the destruction of the German armored group southwest of Budapest, quoting Stalin's decree #306, 26 March 1945.

Issued to Sgt. Vasiliy Shevchenko.
Unusual booklet format, approx. 2 ¾" by 4". The name of the recipient is shown on the front cover, under the slogan "Death to German invaders!" and the red star. The back cover shows slogan "For our Soviet Motherland!" Internal pages have stamp of the unit (only the code name is provided, Unit #44139) and facsimile signatures of its commander, political commander and chief of staff. The March 1945 offensive by three SS Panzer Corps near Lake Balaton in Hungary was the last large scale German offensive of the war.
In very good, solid condition, shows some minor stains but nice overall and completely legible.
