The center of the poster features a photo of Gagarin with the engineer of the Saratov Aero Club and a couple of other of its members. The Saratov Aero Club was the place where Yuri Gagarin learned to pilot an airplane.
Underneath, the photos capture different moments of Gagarin's time as a pilot trainee: first in the Saratov Aero Club and later as a cadet of the Orenburg Air Force Academy (in those times the academy was named after Valery Chkalov, the pilot of the fame of making the first nonstop flight from the USSR to America over the North Pole).
The bottom margin shows information about the publisher including the number of prints in circulation (just 3000 copies, a tiny number by Soviet standards) and the retail price of 1 Ruble (a typical cheap price from the Soviet era, before the runaway inflation that hit the Soviet, and later Russian economy starting from the early 90s). This series of posters was published in 1990 ahead of the following year's upcoming 30th anniversary of Gagarin's space flight. The posters were apparently created as educational tools, to be displayed in schools, libraries, museums etc.

The poster is in excellent condition, tiny barely noticeable traces of wear along the edges. The colors are strong, not faded. Please note that it will be shipped in a sturdy cardboard box.
