Award Document is of booklet format, 9 x 13.5 cm (approx. 3 ½" x 5 ½ ") when closed, in pink silk of fine quality. Shows typographically printed citation and facsimile signature of Mao Zedong. The document is in excellent condition, perfectly sound and clean. The color is strong, not faded. There are some mild wrinkles that may disappear with careful steaming.

Official Russian Translation, typographically printed on single sheet of paper, approx. 9 x 13 cm (designed to fit nicely inside the Chinese document), stating that the recipient, Mikhail Bobkov, is awarded with the Medal of Sino-Soviet Friendship by the Chairman of the People's Republic of China Mao Zedong and showing the 23 February 1955 date (Red Army Anniversary Day). The name of the recipient is hand- written. The document shows a stamp of the Military Unit #09691 and is hand-signed by the unit commander.

The translation is in very good condition. There are a couple of small stains that are not detractive and do not affect the legibility of the text. The document has been folded in two for storage and developed a small separation along the fold but remains sound and has not been repaired with backing tape.
