Postcard Illustrating Popular Song About Russian Civil War, 1959.
The size is continental standard 6" x 4", unmailable without a cover; published by the Soviet Artist Publishing House, circulation unknown. The artwork is an offset print of a painting by D. Dmitriev illustrating a popular Soviet song about the Red Army in the Russian Civil War, presenting it as a heroic and even romantic thing. The line of the lyrics illustrated here reads "They rode long in the night's silence." The painting was part of a series "Songs about the Civil War" and was shown at the All-Union Art Exhibition celebrating the 40th anniversary of Komsomol, Lenin's Young Communists League.
In excellent condition, showing minuscule corner bumps and light attractive age-toning to the verso.
