The order and ribbon bar are in excellent condition, showing just age wear to the metal and the silk of the ribbons which appear to be original. Both pin attachments are clean and fully functional.

The fitted issue box is in light wood wrapped in red oilcloth, with a steel hinge. The fitted space is lined with light short-nap velvet. The silk lining of the inside of the lid is missing.

The box is in good condition: structurally perfectly sound, the hinge is tight and strong, the halves match perfectly when closed. The latch is in place but requires light repair to work again. The velvet shows mild age wear which emphasizes the authentic appearance of the order.
