Crown in black wool with white piping; black cap band. Black plastic visor. The chin cord is in gold metallic filigree. The sweat diamond shows a logo of the Ladoga Headgear Factory in Leningrad and the 1977 date of manufacture. The hard-to-find size 62 (US size 7 ¾ / 2XLarge) is stenciled on the liner. The underside of the sweat band shows a faint quality control stamp in purple ink.

Excellent condition. Although there are signs that the hat has been worn, both the interior and exterior are extremely clean. The wool fabric of the crown is completely free of moth damage. The visor is nicely preserved. All attachment prongs of the "scrambled eggs" embellishment on the visor are intact and provide a perfectly firm grip.
