Postcard Liberation of Soviet Estonia from the Fascist Invaders, 1961.
The size is continental standard 6" x 4", unmailable without a cover, published by the Soviet Artist Publishing House, circulation unknown. The artwork is an offset print of a painting by Soviet Estonian artist Evald Okas. During WW2, Okas was conscripted into the Red Army and served in the city of Yaroslavl in central Russia in a group of Estonian artists. This painting, done in the genre of Socialist Realism, depicts a rather unrealistic scene of Estonians joyfully dancing in their national costumes because the Red Army had replaced the German invaders of Estonia with the Soviet ones.
In excellent, near-mint condition.
