First Day Cover Commemorating the Bicentennial of the Great Russian Fabulist Ivan Krylov, 1969.
The size is 6 ½" x 4 ½", published by the Ministry of Communications of the USSR, circulation unknown. The pre-printed postal stamp and the commemorative stamp are canceled with the First Day stamp issued by the Leningrad Post Office and dated 13 February 1969. The artwork in the left pane on the obverse is a rendition of the monument to Krylov in the city of Kalinin, modern-day Tver.
In excellent condition. Uncommonly, the cover was made using unbleached paper.
