Postal Cover with the façade of the Kaunas History Museum, Lithuanian SSR, artist identified on verso, 1974.
The size is 6 ½" x 4 ½", postally unused, published by the Ministry of Communications of the USSR, circulation unknown. The artist's name, Yu. Artsimenev, is printed on the bottom flap on the verso. The artwork an offset print of is his painting depicting the façade of the History Museum in Kaunas, the second largest city of Lithuania. The image is captioned in Russian and Lithuanian. The pre-printed government postal stamp with the emblems of the USSR and its Communist Party is one of the most commonly used designs of that period.
In excellent condition. Rather uncommonly, the cover is made of unbleached paper.
