The certificate is a standard issue booklet with a rubberized green cover showing the Soviet state emblem and the inscription "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Certificate for a Medal 'For the Construction of the Baikal-Amur Railroad'". The internal pages show an image of the medal in color, full name of the award recipient, 8 June 1984 date of the award decree, purple ink stamp of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR that bestowed the award, and the document issue date of 8 June 1970. There is also a facsimile signature of the Secretary of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of RSFSR (Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic).

The document is in excellent condition. The binding is sound; the exterior shows minimal storage wear, not too obvious or intrusive to the eye. The internal are immaculately clean.
