In nickel-plated brass and enamels; measures 33.1 tall x 23.3 mm wide; weighs 13.1 g. Massive three-piece construction: the round center medallion and the plaque with inscription "Laureats-II" are separate superimposed parts. The inscription on the center medallion is in Latvian and shows the dates 1940, 1945 and 1975, the former two signifying that the festival commemorated both the 35th anniversary of the annexation of Latvia by the Soviet Union and the 30th anniversary of victory over Germany (aka "liberation" of Latvia).

In excellent condition. The nickel finish, raised lettering and enamel are perfect. The attachment pin apparently has been shortened for convenience but remains fully functional.
