Soviet Estonian Postcard, swearing love and care for Red Army invalids & their families, 1946.

The size is continental 6" x 4", postally unused and unmarked; designed and printed in Tallinn, Estonian SSR, circulation 300,000, quite large for a republic with the 1946 population under 1.4 million. The obverse shows the victorious Red Army goose-stepping on parade against the background of Tallinn's Toompea Castle, the seat of Estonian government, with the red flag flying over its tower, clearly showing who is boss in Estonia now. The lettering at the bottom reads, "We surround the families of the Red Army victors and the invalids of the Great Patriotic War with the care and love of the entire nation." A believable statement, isn't it!

In very good to excellent condition. The obverse shows a bit of foxing right around the red flag on the tower, very faint and barely noticeable. The verso is unmarked and perfectly clean.
