Sevastopol Shipbuilding Technical College graduate badge, circa 1980s.
Nickel-plated brass, "cold" enamels; 48.8 x 23.4 mm. The school's acronym ССТ ("SST") stands for Sevastopolskiy Sudostroitelnyi Technikum, i.e. two-year technical school in Sevastopol preparing mid-level cadres for the Soviet shipbuilding industry. Slightly concave reverse with characteristic factory-applied stippling. Fairly well-made for a late-issue badge, and very uncommon.
Very fine condition. The sky-blue enamel has a few very minor chips, barely noticeable. The nickel finish is perfect throughout. The screw post is over 7.5 mm long, possibly reduced by a mm or two for convenience. The screw plate with Moscow's Pobeda Factory logo is of the period and possibly original to the badge.
