Wall plaque with left-facing bas-relief profile of Stalin, by Vsekokhudozhnik Workshop, late 1940s - early 50s.
In hard plastic, measures 4" across, with original brass ring on the back for mounting on a wall. Depicts Stalin wearing his Generalissimo uniform and the Gold Star of Hero of Socialist Labor. Maker marked on the reverse: "Vsekokhudozhnik, Sculptural Manufacturing Enterprise, MTKh." MTKh stands for "Moscow Partnership of Artists." The workshop existed under this name only until July 1953.
In very good condition. The obverse shows just occasional small areas of discoloration. The reverse shows mild staining, mostly on the left side, and horizontal scratches above and below the protrusion holding the wall-hanging ring.
