Medal Commemorating the Reign of Alexander III, State Mint version, 1896 issue.

In silver; measures 27.8 mm wide; weighs 11.6 g not including the suspension. Cyrillic maker mark "AG" to the undercut of the shoulder.

In excellent condition. The details of the bas-relief portrait on the obverse as well crown and dates on the reverse are extremely well-preserved and crisp. Beside a few tiny contact marks that are almost unnoticeable, the medal appears almost pristine to the naked eye. It is completely free of the usual dings and edge knocks. Both sides exhibit beautiful even toning to silver.

The medal comes on a Soviet era suspension device with a new St. Alexander Nevsky ribbon in silk moiré.
