Commemorative Medal of the Soviet War Veterans Committee, 1975 issue.

In anodized aluminum, "cold" enamels and lacquer; medallion is 35.4 mm tall (incl. eyelet), 29.5 mm wide. This medal has an interesting and unusual artwork modeled from the earlier, 1965 medal awarded to attendees of the international conference of veterans of WW2 and participants of foreign "antifascist" movements. It features a Latin "V" for Victory, which may be due to the ongoing thaw in Soviet relationship with the West, an indication that some of these medals were intended for foreign veterans invited to the Soviet Union to take part in celebrations of the 30th anniversary of Victory in Europe. The reverse has raised inscription "Soviet War Veterans Committee" along the edge and "Commemorative Medal" in the center. There is a logo of the Pobeda Factory in Moscow on the reverse of the suspension.

In very fine to excellent condition. The medallion is perfect. The pin of the suspension is missing the catch, but the pin is still functional and can be easily attached to a uniform or a cloth backing in the display case.
