"Russian Porcelain, The Art of the First Russian Porcelain Works", by Alla Lansere, C 1968, RSFSR Artist Publishing House, Leningrad.

Very large 9 �" x 12" x 1" format, hard cover with dust jacket, 272 pp. Russian, English, German and French text (the captions under the photos are in Russian but they are fully translated in three other languages in the index). This scarce Soviet-era publication is about the Imperial Porcelain Manufacturer which later, during the Soviet era, became the famous LFZ Lomonosov Porcelain Factory.

In addition to color and b/w photos of selected artifacts from top Russian museum collections, the books provides a very detailed history of this premier Russian porcelain factory founded in 1744. Written by Alla Konstantinovna Lansere - herself being one of the most notable LFZ artists - the book has a very complete historical review and description of unique technological methods employed by the factory. Special attention is given to personal styles of individual masters.
