Medal for the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905, Light Bronze version for combatants by a private maker.
In brass ("light bronze"); measures 28.0 wide; weighs 12.6 g. This is a relatively uncommon version featuring no dot following the date 1905, relatively small all-seeing eye in the triangle, and the motto "May God Resurrect You When Time Comes" in four lines without the dot at the end.
In excellent condition. Both sides show almost no wear. The obverse in particular is nearly pristine, with perfectly preserved, crisp artwork and great amount of the original mint luster still visible in recessed areas. The medal is completely free of edge knocks or bumps.
