70th Anniversary of the Criminal Investigation Departments, commemorative badge, 1988.

In aluminum with gilt finish and lacquer. The obverse shows a pentagon with a sword and star with Soviet state emblem in the center, and writing "1918 - Criminal Investigations - 1988. USSR MVD". Highly unusual reverse, featuring an eye symbol of the criminal investigations and blank spot for serial number or name. The reverse of the medallion shows raised mint mark "LMD" (Leningrad Mint). There is also "LMD" logo on the reverse of the suspension device (near the top on the right side, hidden under the ribbon).
