Badge of a Shock-worker of a Volunteer Fire Department of NKTP, #576, 1937-1939.

In silver-plated brass and enamels; 35.4 mm tall and 28.8 wide; two-piece construction with inscribed serial number on the reverse (note the low, three-digit number). The letters "DPD" on the banner stand for "Volunteer Fire Department". The writing in the white scroll is "To a Best Shock Worker". The letters "СССР НКТП" on the cogwheel in the lower left are for Narkomat of Heavy Industry of the USSR.

In fine condition. White enamel has been partially repaired (lower right side of the scroll). There is also a small surface chip at the center of the star which is not very noticeable. The silver finish is well preserved having only light wear on the edges of the badge and high points of the raised letters. Comes with original screw plate marked with the name and address of the manufacturer: "Vsekokhudozhnik [Workshop], 11 Kuznetskiy Most, Moscow".
