Highest Officer School of Aerial Combat, certificate of graduation, issued on 2 November 1946 to Air Force Jr.
ID booklet format, 2 ¼" x 3", with hard cover bound in red leatherette. The front bears the Soviet Air Force emblem and impressed gold inscription "Highest Officer School of Aerial Combat of the Red Army Air Force". Shows school stamps and hand-signed by Hero of the Soviet Union Lt. General Blagoveschenskiy, School Commander. The first internal page specifies that the owner has graduated from the school with the qualification of fighter flight commander.
Interestingly, overall grade has been changed to "good" from what appears to have been "satisfactory" - the alteration is validated by the note and signature of Capt. Minin, a deputy department commander.
In excellent condition. Both the cover and the interior are very clean and show only minimal wear. A highly uncommon document issued to a pilot who clearly started his combat career during WW2.
