Sized 21 5/8" by 14 ¼". Colors still fresh. Small rubber stamp mark on back. A crease through one of the photographs was obviously already present on the paper as it was fed through the printing press!

Originally designed in the lieu of newspapers to provide both war news and inspiration to the city's residents. As important as it was to emphasize the still undone task of defeating the German invaders, it was equally imperative to maintain public morale by keeping everyone aware that the city was already being restored. One photo shows workers restoring damage at the Kirov Theater while another emphasizes that the city's factories continue to produce war material.
