Excellent, near mint condition. The flag is completely free of any moth damage typical of Soviet-era flags made of wool. There are no tears, snags or soiling. The colors are strong, not faded. A truly perfect example through and through!

The type flag was flown by warships manned by the Naval Border Guard troops, a part of the KGB State Security Agency. The size of this force was much smaller than the regular Soviet Navy, so it's no wonder that original Naval Border Guard flags are quite hard to find these days, especially in perfect condition. Considering its size, this particular piece was probably intended for a fairly large size cutter or gunboat.
