Silvered brass, enamels. The medallion measures 33 mm wide. The original fitted issue box is in light wood laminated with leatherette-textured paper and has a metal hinge. The fitted space is finished in red short-nap velvet. The lid is lined with light fabric.
The medal and case are in excellent condition, the box showing just one or two tiny scuffs to the laminate, not very obvious or detractive.
