The medallion is in gilded brass, measures 35.0 mm wide, weighs 18.1 g. The three words encircling the German Democratic Republic's state emblem on the reverse read "Class Brother, Brother-in-Arms, Undefeatable." The original presentation box has black plastic bottom lined with light foam rubber inside, the lid is in Plexiglas.
The medal is in excellent condition; both pin attachments are clean and in perfect working order. The lid of the box is only slightly scuffed, not very obviously and not obscuring the medal inside.

The medal (original name "Medaille der Waffenbrüderschaft") was established in 1966 in three classes (bronze, silver, and gold), and was presented to NVA soldiers and civil employees, members of the Stasi, members of the armed forces of other Warsaw Pact countries, and individuals of friendly socialist countries for strengthening the cooperation and brotherhood in arms among the armed forces of the Warsaw Pact.
