The size is continental standard 6" x 4", unmailable without a cover, published by the Soviet Artist Publishing House, circulation unknown. The artwork is an offset print of a painting by V. Kuznetsov. According to Soviet propaganda during and after WW2, Red Army soldiers often applied for membership in the Communist Party before going into battle out of their wish to die as Communists if they do not survive.

In excellent condition: tiny bumps to the corners and the right edge are barely noticeable. The verso is attractively age-toned and clean.
