The lettering under the graphics reads "Long Live the Great Party of Lenin-Stalin, Brain, Honor, and Conscience of Our Epoch!" The tome of "History of the All-Union Communist Party (of Bolsheviks)" the fanatic with the banner is holding next to his heart quite possibly holds the world record of the number of editions a book underwent. Originally published in 1938, it underwent over 300 reprints by 1958 with changes to fit the ever fluid and constantly re-written official Party view of itself, its past, and the country it ruled. The simplified and generalized version of the slogan in this poster, "The Party is the Brain, Honor, and Conscience of our Epoch," continued to plague the Soviet people from the walls of buildings and newspaper pages all the way until the bitter end of the Soviet Union.

In very good to excellent condition. The left edge is slightly wrinkled; small tears to the top and right edge are easily repairable with library tape on the verso, if desired. The fold lines are visible but not too intrusive to the eye. The colors are bright.
