The original "gilt" mint luster is exceptionally well-preserved and bright with only a tiny amount of light patina on the high points of the bas-relief and a couple of small areas of very mild tarnish elsewhere - all of it not detractive and actually adding character.

The medal comes on an original brass suspension device with a new ribbon (of all Soviet stock). The connecting link appears to be of the period. Overall, a beautiful example of the Soviet WW2 victory medal.
