In silver, 22.4 mm wide, suspended from a threaded ribbon. The obverse features the state emblem of Guatemala inscribed CAMPAŇA NACIONAL DE 1906. The reverse is inscribed HONOR AL MERITO, encircled in a wreath.
In very fine to excellent condition, showing just a few minor nicks to the rim of the medal. The ribbon is perfectly clean and wear-free.

This scarce medal commemorates the war between Guatemala and the countries of El Salvador and Honduras. The joint intervention of President Theodore Roosevelt and President Porfirio Diaz of Mexico brought about an armistice on 19 July 1906, and the so-called "Marblehead Pact" was signed the following day by El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras on board the American cruiser USS Marblehead, which ended the war.
