Silver gilt, 71.5 mm in height (incl. suspension bar), 51.5 mm in width, weighs 35.9 g. The cross is suspended from a 51cm-long silk neck ribbon with silk ties. The reverse center medallion and the 6 o'clock arm of the cross show abbreviation "FAC" which stands for Fuerza Aueroespacial Colombia ("Aerospace Force of Columbia"). The reverse of the eagle suspension has the word "Granados" in relief.
