Special-Issue Government Postal Cover with First Day Cancel Commemorating Marshal Voroshilov's Centennial, 1980.
The size is 6 ¼" x 4 ½", published by the Ministry of Communications of the USSR, circulation unknown. The pre-printed postal stamp is canceled with the First Day stamp issued by the Voroshilovgrad Post Office and dated 9 November 1981. The eastern Ukrainian city of Luhansk was renamed in 1935 in honor of one of the most prominent Soviet military leaders Marshal of the Soviet Union Kliment (Klim) Voroshilov. His portrait is seen in the left pane of the obverse.
