Sculpture of Lenin Sitting on a Tree Stump, in Silumin, late 1960s - 1970.

In Silumin alloy, approx. 9 ½" high, the base is approx. 6 ½" x 4". Weighs a little over 3 ½ lbs. The idea for this statuette was probably prompted by the days in July-August 1917 which Lenin spent in a hut on the bank of Lake Sestroretskiy Razliv near Petrograd, hiding from the Provisional Government which had issued a warrant for his arrest. In very good to excellent condition, showing just barely noticeable tiny spots of oxidation and a small scuff to the right sleeve of Lenin's coat. An impressive highly detailed sculpture which will take a proud place in a display of Lenin's sculptures, or Soviet memorabilia in general.
