The size is standard 6 ¼" x 4 ½", postally unused, published by the Ministry of Communications of the USSR, circulation unknown. The preprinted government postal stamp and the special-edition stamp commemorating the Soviet-Bulgarian space exploration project Shipka-88 are canceled with the First Day stamp issued by Zvezdnyy Gorodok ("Star City") Post Office and dated 7 June 1988. The artwork in the left panel of the obverse was created by A. Anikin whose name is printed on the bottom flap on the verso.
