
Postcard Partisans of Siberia, artist identified on verso, 1969.
The size is continental 6" x 4", postally unused and unmarked, published by The Soviet Artist Publishing House, circulation unknown. The artist's name, N. Chebakov, is printed in the lower left-hand corner on the verso. The artwork is an offset print of Chebakov's oil-on-canvas painting depicting a group of partisans operating during the Russian Civil War in Siberia and the Russian Far East sabotaging the efforts of the White Army in support of the new Soviet Power which promised them so much.
In excellent condition, showing only barely noticeable corner bumps.

Note that the small convoy the partisans are guarding is a veritable Noah's Ark of class enemies, depicted in the lower right-hand corner of the painting: a policeman, a White Army officer, a clergyman, and a couple of "bourgeois elements."
