Brass, enamels; 39.5 x 23.7 mm. An exceptionally attractive and well-made early piece featuring an image of a battleship (which sometimes leads to misidentifying the badge as a naval award.) There is a raised Moscow Mint logo "MMD" on the reverse.

In excellent condition. The enamel is pristine; the raised details are perfect and crisp. There is a very attractive even patina to the brass, while some of the original gilt finish is visible in recessed areas, especially on the reverse. The screw post is full length, approx. 9 mm, and includes an original mint-marked screw plate.
