Large lithographic 21 ¼" x 16 ¼" print in the lubok style, popular in Russia at the time. Printed by M. Streltsov Lithography, Moscow.
In very good to excellent condition. The paper is thicker than usual for lubok prints, and shows just barely noticeable wrinkles, the missing tip of the top right-hand corner, and a short tear to the middle of the left margin, not reaching the imagery and easily repairable with library tape.

The print shows a troop of German soldiers caught in a sudden flood in Belgium. The caption explains: "While getting around Antwerp toward Termond, the German troops were caught unawares at Malines by the deluge from the dams blown up by the Belgians. The water covered the entire area. While the Germans were trying to save the stuck cannons and take out the ammunition crates, the Belgians opened fire at them from the Antwerp forts. In the meantime, the water was rising, drowning people and cannons. The heroic sacrifice of the Belgians brought the reward: the Germans will understand what kind of people they are up against and will teach to their defendants to never again attempt to violate the freedom and independence of this wonderful nation of which all Europe is in awe."
