In solid silver and enamel; measures 37.1 mm in height, 32.0 mm in width; weighs 20.4 g (without the suspension and connecting link) - significantly more than the common post-1960 version in silver-plated brass.
In outstanding, excellent condition. The enamel is perfect, free of even the microscopic traces of wear that could be found with a 10x loupe. The raised details are pristine and crisp; the silver shows a very attractive dark patina on both sides. There are a few tiny, barely noticeable dings to the raised edge but no nicks or bumps. Issued for only a couple of years, this version of the Armed Force Irreproachable Service medal is far less common than the later, silver-plated variation.
