Army Sharpshooter Badge, 2nd class, circa 1914-1917.

Brass gilt. The target disc is 31.5 mm in height, 31.6 mm in width; overall height of the badge is 46.4 mm; weighs 8.9 g. Although the badge is of simplified one-piece construction as typical of those manufactured during WWI and has prong rather than screw back attachment - clearly a wartime expediency - the quality of its workmanship is very fine as would be expected of a badge of the imperial era.

In excellent condition. The details are perfect and extremely crisp. The gold plating is clearly visible in recessed areas, especially on the obverse. The reverse has mild tarn
