Badge of a Graduate of the Krasnyi Kut (Krasnokutskoe) Civil Aviation Flight School, circa 1960s.

In nickel-plated brass and enamels; 50.7 x 25.3 mm. Three-piece construction: the silver passenger airplane and navy-blue globe are separate superimposed parts.

In excellent condition. The enamel and nickel finish are perfect. The screw post is full length, approx. 9 mm, and comes with an unmarked screw plate which is of the period and likely original to the badge.

The complete name of the school located in the town of Krasnyi Kut was Krasnokutskoe Lyotnoye Uchilishche Grazdanskoi Aviatsii (Краснокутск

The complete name of the school located in the town of Krasnyi Kut was Krasnokutskoe Lyotnoye Uchilishche Grazdanskoi Aviatsii (Краснокутское Летное Училище Гражданской Авиации) which would abbreviate as KLUGA, but the shortened acronym KAU (Краснокутское Авиационное Училище) was used on least two of its graduation badges. The school was founded in 1948, so the Roman numeral "IV" probably stands for a department of the school rather than the graduation class. Note that this badge is sometimes referred to as that of the Krasnoyarsk Aviation School, which is probably incorrect.
