Lot of 15 photos: 13 of Nikolai Rassolov & crew of torpedo boat Taifun, Baltic Fleet, 1940s, & 2 photos of his brother Pavel, 1940s and 1950s.

Torpedo boat Taifun was built and launched in 1929 in Leningrad and began its active service in the Baltic Fleet in September 1931. After two years of capital repair and re-equipment (1941-1943), the ship was repurposed as a minesweeper. It survived the war and remained in active service for quite awhile.

Nikolayev is a Ukrainian city known for its large sea port and shipbuilding plant supplying ships for the Black Sea Fleet.

The condition of the photos ranges from very good to excellent: some aging wear, an occasional crease, minuscule corner bumps, but no significant wear or damage of any kind.
