Full Standing Statuette of Lenin raising his cap victoriously, circa 1960s-70s.
In Silumin alloy, very large for a shelf or desktop statuette at full 16" to the cap in Lenin's hand. The plinth is approx. 4x4" square and ¾" high. Weighs approx. 3 ¾ lbs. Lenin is depicted in a gesture much more commonly encountered in paintings but rather rare in a statuette, clutching in his raised hand his signature shapeless worker's cap that he often used to wear: at first to hide from the eyes of the czar's secret police, then for propaganda purposes, for his "I am one with the working class" public image.
In very good condition. Slight pitting to the metal adds character.

In very good condition. Slight pitting to the metal adds character. Two small circular protrusions on his back must have been incurred during the casting. There is also a small nick to the right coat sleeve at the elbow. All this wear is not very intrusive to the eye or detractive.
