In excellent condition. The medallion has only some tiny contact marks that are barely noticeable and a few tiny dings to the raised edge, no bumps, scratches or any other significant wear easily visible to the naked eye. The raised details of the artwork and inscription are extremely well-preserved and crisp on both sides. There is a very attractive even patina to the brass throughout with a couple of small blemishes that look "organic" and actually add interest and character. Overall, a very attractive example of the Russo-Turkish War combatant's award.

The medal comes on a Soviet-era suspension device with a new St. Andrew / St. George ribbon.

The light bronze medal was awarded to all army and navy ranks who directly participated in any battles in Bulgaria or on Caucasian front, or in naval engagements in the Black Sea.
