This is a very rare piece of art created in one of the world's best factories of artistic casting. The history of Monumentsculpture began in the casting workshops of St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, founded by Empress Catherine II on the basis of the arts school brought into existence by Peter the Great. To mention just a few of their landmark works, the Monument to Minin and Pozharsky in Moscow's Red Square, the horses on St. Petersburg's Anichkov Bridge, the equestrian statue of Nicholas I in Isakiyevskaya Square, and many more not only in St. Petersburg and Moscow but all over Russia. To bridge epochs and countries, the monument to the Soviet Warrior-Liberator in Berlin's Treptow Park was also cast at Monumentsculpture.
