
Medal for Reconstruction of the Coal Mines of Donbass, late 1940s - early 50s.
In brass; measures 37.0 mm in height, 32.2 mm in width; weighs 17.3 g not including the suspension and connecting link. In outstanding, excellent condition - one the best specimens of this medal we have seen in years. The raised details are perfect and exceptionally crisp; there is no noticeable wear or dings to either side of the medallion. The fire gilt finish is well-preserved and bright on both sides. There are only a couple of tiny spots and mild patina that is not detractive - otherwise essentially a mint example.
