
Medal for Distinguished Service in Protecting Public Order, transitional post-Soviet issue, 1992-1995.
Medallion is in German silver; measures 37.1 mm in height incl. eyelet, 32.1 mm wide; weighs 17.0 g without the suspension and connecting link. The obverse is identical to the Soviet era Medal for Protecting the Public Order. The reverse shows the emblem of the Russian Federation (RSFSR) unchanged yet from the time when the republic was a part of the Soviet Union.
Very fine to excellent condition. The raised details are pristine and exceptionally crisp. There are a few tiny scrapes and dings to the raised edge, not very noticeable or detractive. The finish is perfect, free

This variation of the medal was issued for only a brief period until the introduction of the Russian Federation awards in 1995.
