The medal (badge) is in brass and enamels, massive and well-made. The pendant is 32.6 mm tall (including the eyelet), 28.8 mm wide, of riveted two-piece construction. Overall height with suspension device is approx. 49 mm. The reverse of the suspension device shows raised maker mark "KYuF" (Kiev Jewelry Workshop). In excellent condition.

The cloth-wrapped case of issue is lined in silk and burgundy felt, and has a nest for the suspension of the medal. The box is in excellent condition, completely sound. There is slight wear to the exterior which is not detractive.

Unlike the numerous pins, postcards, stamps etc. commemorating this event, this badge was issued exclusively to the delegates of the Congress and could not be purchased. Its medal-like appearance is unique to this particular congress; the later ones being flag-shaped designs similar to the delegate's badges of the all-Union communist party congresses. An interesting piece to a Communist Party VIP from the Communist era!
