Excellent condition. Although there are signs that the hat has been worn, both the interior and exterior are extremely clean. The wool fabric of the crown is completely free of moth damage. The visor is nicely preserved having only a couple of very minor scuffs that do not detract. An attachment prong is broken on one of the brass pieces on the visor, but the rest of the prongs are intact and provide a perfectly firm grip. Interestingly, we found a sewing needle and some spare thread attached on the inside of the sweat band, as required by Soviet regulations!
